So often we get stuck in life because we put our circumstances before following our hearts.
If you don’t already, imagine having a family, kids to look after and feed. Then all the sudden you feel to leave behind your career which supports your family, simply to follow your heart.
Could you do it?
Well Sibyl did and faced her limitations, enjoy meeting this amazing woman!
Sibyl’s Interview
What does limitless living mean for you?
“Limitless living” to me means choosing to show up in each moment as who I really am and experiencing my moments in the way they were meant to be experienced. It has been something that I have continually practiced so I could get better at doing it naturally without playing a role. Let’s just say I had a tendency to get in my own way.
What has been your biggest challenge in life where you were faced with limitation in some way? What supported you to move through it?
My biggest challenge recently was when I quit my job, gave up my salary and my career so that I could find my way to doing something that felt more right for me. Of course being without a consistent and reliable salary was filled with its limitations. I also was married with two kids and a list of so many other responsibilities that made not having steady income feel even more limiting.
Managing the challenges and fears that would come up from time-to-time was something I definitely had to work through day by day. I knew though that if I just followed my truth and did my best to live as who I really was in each moment, everything would unfold just as I needed it to.
I had several tools that I relied on daily that allowed me to do my inner work while I was simultaneously doing my outer work to create The Possibility of Today. I also made certain to intentionally move through each day in a thoughtful way that allowed me to reel in the voice of my Chief Negativity Officer so that I could take advantage of the moments in front of me.
I also made sure I did the work that was required to chip away at the ice of what I call the ordinary side. I knew doing that was going to allow me to settle more and more into who I really was.
How often do you follow your intuition/gut feel in life?
This is definitely something I had to get better at, but I would say that presently I am following my intuition all of the time.
Sometimes it takes some time for my truth to surface, especially for those tougher decisions, but I have committed to slowing down and waiting for the answer to come before I do anything.
Can you describe the feeling or space you are in when doing what you love?
Loving. Still at times and thoughtfully working at other times. Fluid and dynamic. Fun. Fulfilling.
How important has it been for you in working on yourself? Did you or do you have a mentor?
Doing my inner work is something I have been committed to for awhile. I have so many people I would consider mentors. I love learning and growing and realized that there were all types of people that had different insights and valuable wisdom.
Ultimately, I knew that finding and living my truth was going to be something I had to discover for myself, but I got advice, guidance, lessons, and learned so much from many great spiritual teachers, philosophers, and my family and friends.
So lets say in this moment you are totally limitless, free and happy. What would you love to do next?
Honestly, I would continue to be an entrepreneur and keep building my media and publishing company, Ripple Media and spend a lot of time working with The Possibility of Today. I would also continue writing, blogging, podcasting, and moving in the direction that felt most right.
