I love when life seems to just keep on giving. I’m sure we all do. It’s so much fun when I experience door after door opening up. Some of us may relate to it as being “in the flow”. All your values are being met according to what you want and desire.

So, what happens when one of those doors gets slammed in my face? Well if it’s just one that I don’t have a charge around or power in, I simply step to the side and look past it.

The real test is a door that comes with a charge, one that I’ve given power to. It can slam shut in my face and cause a reaction, taking me out of the flow.

At first, I want to yell and kick that door down. I want to lose myself in my thoughts and dive into the process. I know, though, that this is not the way to respond. I’m simply, then, engaging in reality rather than embracing what is and allowing the next moment to show itself.

Next time a door seems to be slammed in your face, take a moment to observe how you feel. Let the feeling, emotions, and thoughts move through you. This is what I do whilst bringing my attention into the here and now.

I know, when I am present, then I’m not trying to control life or letting life control me.

In each new moment, there is always something new forming. With our limited minds, there is no way to know the reason everything unfolds. I like to trust in myself and know that it is happening because I’m meant to experience what I’m experiencing.
