Am I Being Real?

How real can I get? I know for myself that if I’m not being real, regardless of the situation, the only one that suffers is me. If I choose moments in time to not show up authentically and honestly, I was always left thinking about it. Why did I just pretend to be happy? Why did I just agree to something I totally disagree with? Why am I pretending to care? Why am I not comfortable being me?

So many questions!  But, they all lead me back to the same place: My ego. It always had something to protect, something to lose, and most of all, something to bruise by being vulnerable, itself.

There’s one thing about following your truth in each and every moment. If you can’t be real with yourself, good luck ever being able to integrate who you truly are and living from that space. Simply put: You’re just letting your ego win rather than having it sit on the sidelines as you choose to play in each moment, being open to limitless possibilities.

Seriously! What are waiting for? It’s time to get real.

Where do you notice, in your life, that you are not being yourself?
