So do I do this, or do that? Is that the right thing or the wrong thing? Is this one going to be better or worse? So many questions!! It would appear I am on the horns of a dilemma. What is the right answer? What will happen if I choose the WRONG answer?

Sometimes, we find ourselves faced with this type of thinking. I know I have been one to buy into thoughts like that.

So, what do you do in this scenario?

Well, my first suggestion would be to simply make a choice based on what feels true. I do this by taking a deep breath and asking myself the question. The answer is always there. It’s simple and instant. If it’s not then I probably need to take a few more breaths and quiet my mind a little so I can actually feel rather than being in a reactive state.

The second thing is: I always know when I have acted on what feels true because there is no more thinking about it. I find that I actually create space in my mind and the way I feel.

Sometimes, it’s me getting in the way and making a choice based on the story. This comes with needs and agendas. This happens because we are usually attached to the outcome or trying to control something.

Next time you find yourself over thinking a decision, put this into practice and see what you experience.
