The Feeling

I like to write because it take me into the moment. The feeling is usually there. I sit down, and just start to write. Sometimes, I don’t even know what I am about to write. As I start to type, the feeling moves me. I simply express whatever is perfect for that moment.

In life, we may not know what lies ahead. We may be absolutely scared of the possibilities of what may be ahead:

Will I be okay next month?

Will I still have a job?

Will I have money?

Will I be healthy?

Will my partner still be there?

Will life still support me?

In the past, I have been one of those that worried about the future. However, the more I practised to bring my attention into the here and now, the more I started to realise I was totally safe, totally secure, and okay.

The only time we worry is when we are somewhere else that is separate from this moment. The funny thing is: None of those things I would worry about would ever happen. I was only running off with my thoughts. In doing so, I created separation and fear.

When I am here, when my attention is here in this moment, I feel a connection, a sense of something that feels like home. I feel safe, secure, and full of love.

How often do you actually bring all your attention into this moment and be with how you feel?

I have been mentored by Jamie for the past year. Whether I'm happy or sad or really angry he has been steady in his ability to help me always find my truth.

Being mentored by Jamie is not for the faint-hearted. He has the remarkable ability to create a powerful space in which despite the discomfort, I was able to start being totally honest with myself and identify the limiting thoughts and behaviours that held me back.
