Game On!

Those of you who get my weekly newsletter would have read about some interesting things I noticed about myself through my tennis game recently. These simple observations have played out some big changes in all areas of my life already!

When I talk about being limitless, I want you to understand it has nothing to do with being limitless in life. I’m not talking about having a bank account full of millions so I think I am free to have and do what I want. I had that and felt empty and unfulfilled. I’m not talking about having nice things, either. I had lots of nice things and felt very insecure and lost.

When I talk about being limitless, I am talking about being fulfilled, secure, and certain in this moment. I am referring to trusting the unknown and being open to the moment. I am talking about giving my everything because I have nothing to lose.

Who you are is everything. Limitless, for me, is being able to show up for whatever you feel in life because you simply choose to, by following your truth. Regardless of your circumstances, you are able to follow that feeling that moves through you.

I used to think that it was all about being successful, having the money, having the knowledge, or working hard.

Now, I have come to realise how untrue those beliefs were. Those beliefs kept me limited. My attention was always somewhere else. I was always measuring myself up or trying to make life work for me. The big one that got me was thinking that I had to do it all.

Just like with my tennis game, if I played a certain strategy, or played my game according to the score board, I was never actually giving my all to each point. Instead, I was trying to control the moment by seeking a certain outcome. I was never actually enjoying letting go and being the moment and letting the natural flow unfold.

The result of this is experiencing a effortless flow, being open to limitless possibilities and enjoying a level of living that can not be measured. So, I ask you, what areas of life do you try and control? When do you notice your mind take over and try plan on a certain outcome so as to feel safe?
